Eastridge is Hiring a Quality Inspector Near Hacienda Heights, CA

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring a Quality Inspector for a leader in solid and blind rivets, blind bolts, and installation tooling for the aerospace industry. Monday- Friday, 5:00am-1:30pm (Saturdays may be require due to business needs). For immediate consideration, apply today.

Summary

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Organizes and prioritizes departmental work flow to ensure effective use of departmental resources. Performs routine inspection and testing of product in process and/or finished products using precision measuring tools and equipment. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Other duties may be assigned. 

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:

Performs assigned routine tests on product in process or finished parts in accordance with the industry, customer and company standards and specifications. These test include but are not limited to: 

  • Break Load/Tensile Testing (pins) 
  • Shear Testing (solid rivets) 
  • Visual Examination 
  • Rockwell Hardness testing 
  • Micro Hardness testing 
  • Coating thickness (XRF) Instrument 
  • Dimensional Inspection 
  • Metallurgical Mount Preparation, including precision lab cut off saw 
  • Installation Testing 
  • Inspection using optical comparator 

Records the results of tests on inspection forms, test reports, and enters test data into electronic database. Assures that inspection equipment is calibrated and in good working condition 

Participates in Internal Round Robin Testing, as required 

Assists in root cause analysis when required 

Effectively understands measuring tools and gauges required to ensure that the manufacturing processes are in control in producing high quality products. 

Produces and disseminates MDR reports to MRB and engineers. 

Meets productivity levels in support of departmental standards, goals and schedules. 

Scans finished certifications into electronic database 

 Language Skills: 

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine inspection reports. 

Mathematical Skills: 

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

Computer Skills: 

  • Ability to perform basic computer functions such as scanning documents, basic knowledge of word and excel. 

Reasoning Ability: 

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to perform complex duties where a high level of independent judgment and action is required. 

Blueprint Reading: 

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints 

Other Qualifications: 

  • Skilled in the set up and use of precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, protrusion gauges, optical comparators, tri-roll gauges. 
  • Proven ability to perform mechanical and physical testing on product, such as coating thickness testing, shear testing, breakload testing, mounting, grinding and polishing equipment.
  • Precision lab cut-off saw operate and set up lathe.
  • Ability to read and understand a manufacturing work order sequence of operations. 

Education and/or Experience: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 

Safety: 

PPE requirements include, but are not limited to: 

  • Safety glasses with side shields 
  • Latex gloves when handling oily parts or working with chemicals
